About Matt Glover

Matt Glover is a multifaceted counsellor whose journey has been shaped by diverse experiences in industrial research, church ministry, palliative care, private practice, and even the creative world of cartooning. Before fully dedicating himself to counselling, Matt spent several years in church ministry, where he developed a deep understanding of the human spirit and the complexities of faith, purpose, and community. This experience laid the groundwork for his compassionate approach to counselling, as he learned to provide support during some of life’s most profound and challenging moments.

Transitioning into palliative care, Matt continued to hone his skills in offering empathy and guidance, particularly to those facing the end of life. His work in this field has been marked by a deep commitment to helping individuals and their families navigate the emotional terrain of terminal illness with dignity and grace. Since 2012, Matt has also maintained a thriving private practice, where he combines his rich background with a holistic approach to mental health, often incorporating nature-based therapies.

Beyond his professional life, Matt is also a talented cartoonist, finding creative expression through art. His passion for creativity is matched by his love for gardening and bonsai, hobbies that reflect his appreciation for patience, nurturing, and growth—qualities that are central to his counselling practice.

As a father to two adult sons, Matt understands the challenges and rewards of parenthood, bringing this personal insight into his work with families and individuals alike. His broad life experiences, from ministry to palliative care, private practice to art, enrich his ability to connect with clients on a deep and meaningful level, making him a respected and well-rounded counsellor dedicated to fostering mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
