Counselling for introverts

Introversion

“Don’t think of introversion as something that needs to be cured…Spend your free time the way you like, not the way you think you’re supposed to.”
Quiet by Susan Cain.

It has been said that the world is set up for extroverts.

If you describe yourself as an introvert, then you probably agree. Whether it’s work, school, your sports club or faith community, it feels like everyone expects you to be an extrovert!

There is nothing wrong with being introverted, and in many ways it’s a positive thing. However, for those of us with the introverted trait, sometimes we get exhausted by life. Without the proper self-care, that exhaustion can lead to burnout or mental health problems.

At MGA Counselling Services, we can help raise your awareness of what it means to be introverted and map out a way to care for yourself in a healthy way so you can shine!

Note: If you are introverted, it may also be worthwhile exploring whether you are a highly sensitive person (HSP).
