About Kaytie Blackett
Kaytie is currently completing the final trimester of the bachelor of psychotherapy and counselling with Ikon Institute of Australia. Once fully qualified in November 2024, Kaytie will be an integrative psychotherapist. Kaytie values this therapeutic approach as integrative psychotherapy requires a deep understanding of various therapeutic modalities along with a diverse skill set which can be integrated in a way that best fits the individual needs and goals of the client.
With a deep appreciation and love for nature, Kaytie’s professional pathway has started to merge with her personal love of the outdoors. Having trained to be an ecotherapist, including additional training in Forest Therapy, Kaytie wholeheartedly believes that taking therapy into nature offers a deeper level of healing, growth, and wellbeing.
Kaytie offers both individual and group ecotherapy at many beautiful parks and beaches in the CBD and Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. She also offers online and phone counselling.
Kaytie is also a qualified teacher with a history of teaching in Adult Learning Centres where she taught stress reduction courses, focussing primarily on meditation and mindfulness techniques, having trained to be a meditation & mindfulness instructor shortly after completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
She can be reached at kaytie@mgacounselling.com.au
